My story today is about dating websites. I think sometimes, people go overboard on dating websites. Some of those websites are telling you they are free, but then the bottom line is for the first 30 days. The thing about dating websites they get you to fill out a form and the word free keeps showing up all the time, so you continue filling out the form. Before you know it, you have your email address in there and by the time you get down towards the bottom of the form, they have your name, address, phone number and of course your email address.

I have gone into some of these dating websites and some of them are really funny. One ad I saw was almost like a whole web page design on it. It had a great big heart in the middle of the page and then had her ad around it. It was a neat ad but having a big heart was really different.

On one of these dating websites I was reading if you really like my ad, then we can do exciting things together. None of this walking around the mall, or on long walks, but we would be doing fishing, boating, sailing, riding horses, and maybe some hunting. I guess I would call that exciting things to do.

I sometimes sit back and think if I was to post an ad, how I would word it. I think it would read looking for a partner for life. I am looking for someone who likes to fish, bowl, horseback ride, and ski. I think maybe I need to work on my ad for a little bit, because that does not sound right to me.

My advice to you all, do not get hung up on these dating websites. Remember that nothing is free in life, and if it says free, then there might be a catch as you fill out the form. One thing for sure, they will have your email address, and that alone is enough to drive you to your limit. A lot of people hate junk email, and I am one of them. It fills up your mailbox faster than you can read them, and if they have your address, they end up sending you junk mail also.

One of these days, I think I will try designing some dating websites of my own. That way I can bypass some time on my hands when waiting for the junk mail to come in.
