Belle was very interested in dating men: it was her passion, and it had been her passion ever since she had been about fourteen or so years old. She had a great track record as far as dating men went: she had never asked anyone out and she had never ever been dumped by anyone. Somehow despite these numbers she had managed to get through enormous amounts of men: at least thirty three by the time she was twenty. Not that she was counting of course: she wouldn't even dream of doing something like that!

But Belle had one problem, and that was that she could never stick to the same man for more than four months at a time. She loved dating men but when it came to staying with men she would get bored very quickly, and want someone new, exciting and interesting.

One day Belle was in her room with her latest boy friend, whose name was John. She had lit up some incense, which was trickling slowly up, up, up into the canopy of the four poster bed. The aroma of the burning incense was delicious, and the boy that had decided to tickle her while she was not paying attention was very hot. She wanted to become the wife of the boy that she was dating, but something was holding her back. Already she was getting bored with this fellow, despite the fact that she had only been going out with him for less than a week.

And then something occurred to her: she was going to end up spending her entire life like this if she didn't do something now to stop it. She would get through boy upon boy, and in the end even dating men would become boring. She would grow old, somewhere out there in the future, and then no more males would want to hold her. She would be alone for the rest of her days.

Then she focused again, because the boy had said something to her. He had asked if she was alright. He cared about her, and he would stay with her, if only she would stay with him.

And that was when she left all of her past life behind. She strayed with that boy, that completely normal boy. The two of them got married, nowhere special. They lived happily ever after, and though she barely believed it herself, Belle was happy.
